Dear Mollie

As I am owing both you and Isaac a letter and am very lonesome today I will drop you a few lines. Ma and Aunt Dorinda went to Longwood yesterday and have not returned yet. Pa and the children have gone a visiting and I am here a lone. Mollie how have you enjoyed yourself this Christmas. It has been the lonesomest time I ever experienced. I haven’t enjoyed myself a bit. I believe that Aunt Mary was up here while Gus was here. I went home with her and stayed three weeks. Aunt Dorinda and Cousin Harvey and Wallace George came up home with me. I had a tolerably nice visit. Cousin Mollie is housekeeping. I went to see her, she seems to enjoy married life very well. We are looking for Uncle Zeph and Cousin George up, they said they would come after Aunt Dorinda. Gus said that if he knew when Aunt Dorinda came up that him and Alec would come up. She sent them word to come but they have not come. Tell them that she said that she would like very much to see them. I suppose that Mag and Tom Parrish have been up to Pettis lately. I did not get to see them when I was down. Aunt Dorinda and Sam Winters went to see them while I was there but Sam would not go a horse back and said that he could not get a buggy with two seats. I guess he did not want me to go. Mollie has Ike Warren got home or have they heard from him. I heard that they were very uneasy about him. Well I will bring my letter to a close for I cna’t think of anything to write. We are all well at present. Give my love to all inquiring friends and receive a large share for yourself. Tell Ike I am coming to see him when I come down. May love and happiness be with you is the wish of your devoted friend.

                                                                                                       Write soon
                                                                                                        Fannie Elliott
