Ever Remembered Friend
                                    It is with great pleasure I seat myself this evening to send you a few of my idle thoughts as they are more plentifull with me than any other kind at the present time  I have nothing very interesting to write but was very anxious to hear from you  I don’t know but I think that I answered your last letter  if I did I havent received an answer and so I will write again  We are all tolerable well at the present time and I hope these few lines will find you all enjoying good health  Aunt Dorinda is here she has been here four weeks she dont like this part of the country as well as she does Pettis  Mollie how did you enjoy yourself on the fourth  We had a very nice time  Aunt Dorinda and Addie and I went down to Long Wood and went to the sulphur springs to a picknick  There was a great many people there Aunt Dorinda took the sick head ache and did not enjoy herself very well her and myself staid a week down there with our kin folks  We had a very nice time We intended to come down to Sedalia tomorrow but it has rained untill the creek is up so that we cant come  It has been raining here all week and is still raining Mollie you must come up to see us There is a protracted meeting going to commence up here on the first Saturday in next month  We would like very well to see some of you up here  Johnnie said that he would come if somebody would come with him you must come and bring some of the rest of the boys and girls with you
           Mollie I heard that John T Gentry had got home I suppose that you have been to see him  Cousin Harkey George has got home  Aunt Dorinda received a letter from him last week  Wouldnt you like to go to see him  I believe he is the one that Mollie give to you  I am going home with Aunt Dorinda the last of August When have you heard from the boys I have not heard from Tommie for a good while I am very anxious to hear from him  I dont know why he dont write  As it is getting late I must bring my letter to a close  Aunt Dorinda sends her love to you give my best to all enqireing friends and receive a large share for yourself  Write soon to your friend   Fannie Elliott
