To Miss Mary F. Marshall,

                            Dear Mary,
It is with pleasure that I seat myself to drop you a few lines to inform you that we are all well, at present and hope this may find you enjoying good health; Mary I have been to church at last. I went to Cole Camp last Sunday to hear old man Drury preach or at least try to do so. But we are going to have a two day meeting the first Saturday and Sunday in September that will be Saturday and Sunday week; you must be sure and come and bring every person you know; now you must be shure and come. I am going to write to Fanny Elliott this evening requesting her to come too; I promised her when I was at Smithton that I would come out and see you all the first of September but as we are going to have meeting you all must come out and I will go home with you. If nothing prevents. I was over to see Ann Eastwood today. She told me to bring her sweetheart if yo come and sends her love to you. I must bring my short letter to a close as I have no news of importance to write. give my love to all and share a portion for yourself: excuse all that is wrong.
                                                                                        from your true
                                                                                                 friend
                                                                                                        Lou Fowler
P.S. Mr. A.C. Marshall will be at home the 1 of September
