Transcript Dear Sister



It is with pleasure that I take my seat this morning after church to address you a fiew lines to let you know that we are all well hope these lines may come safe to hands and find you all enjoying the same blessing of life and allso to let you know that we got home half after five o'clock that day we started from George's. Found new orders for every man to inrole and forme themselves into companies and was ready to start up to be sworn in and they received orders not to come untill further orders. They are ordered now to come in and pay thirty dollars or be imprisoned. I do not know what they will do now. Mary I went to church today. Saw Dorinda* and Sallie* and Dorinda is coming up to stay all summer Tell Ike nows his chance. I had like to have forgot to tell you abought the rane. It rained three days right straight ahead. When we got home it hadn't rained enought to lay the dust Sunday. After we got home on Friday we had a splendid rane that lasted until Sunday. Mary tell Mother that Mr. Guire says that our baby is the ugliest grandchild she has got. Tell her he has got well of the colac. He grows so fast he can allmost be set alone. He is the smartest grand chile she has got if he is the ugliest chile she has got some tolerable ones. As I have nothing to importance to right I will bring my letter to a close so nothing more at present but remains your sister untill death

Tell mother that Mr. Guire put her pipe in his pocet and brought it nearly home with him before he found it out.



Give my love to all tell mirajane that her clough is safe the babe will have it wore out before she sees it again tell her that I did not mean to steal it but somehow or other I did so nothing more

Mary something strange I received a loket of yours this evening from spring fork just put in an envelope and sent without any name
