						My Dear Sister
							William and I were both very glad to here from you all once more. 
We are all well but have a bad way getting along as the three youngest boys and myself are batching and have been for a year. Would like to visit you all and would if I could leave home but cannot leave the too smallest boys will not stay at home by themselves the older one does not stay all the time, so I cannot depend on them to take care of things. Rayford is off at school. My baby girl stays with William and Fannie	 Mary lives with Lela Williams youngist daughter thay live in Hildalgo Co 700 miles from here	Ola moved to Scurry Co. last December 400 miles from us Ola wanted to live with us but Harvey and her Husband did not get along 	Harvey was very sorry he mistreated him after it was to late Ola has one little boy 2 years old thay call him Earl. Ethel has 6 children 5 girls and one boy.
		Crops was very sorry here cotton as sorry as I ever saw I only made 15 Bales on my place and 800 bu of corn it was dry 7seven months that we did not have any rain to speak of at all corn 75 ct per bu cotton 13 and 14 cts per pound avrigeing $75 per bale Mules $3.00 and $4.00 per span I sold a span for $3.15 and bought a two yeare old for $1.00 we have a large drove of geece and lotse of chickens and Guineas but no turkeys all kindes of fouls are a good price we sell eggs and Butter 20 cts for Butter 20 cts for Eggs w killed hogs last week will have plenty of meat and lard.
we hire part of our work done such as washing and ironing and house cleaning we do our one cooking milking it is not very pleasant for the boys and my self either
