My Dearest Cousin,

It has ben allmost a month since I recd. your letter informing me of the death of my Dear Aunt, but we must be reconciled, for it is a debt we must all pay. hers is payed before ours. May she be at rest for ever is my hope. If you have a picture of Aunt that you can part with, I would like to have it, it would be a great pleasure for Mother to see it also. I will send you one of my husband and little Son. I have ben waiting to have his taken before I would. It is very good except his eyes look weak. that is on account of the light shining in them. he has not been in pants but about two weeks, he is very proud of them. My husband is very good also. I am going to have some pretty ones taken or some good ones. those I had taken are not good pictures of me. I would like so much to have all my Cousins Photographs. I am glad the boys in Montana are doing well. Did Mr. Parish make his fortune. I hope he did. times in Nevada are very dull. I do not think we will stay here another year unless times gets better. My husband is not in any kind of business now and everything is high. flour is $18 per hundred. the farmers will have poor crops if we do not have rain soon. have not had any this month. a great deal of wind and cold night. Fathers folks are all well. Sister Ann is not in good health at present, but is as usual in good spirits and lively. She never seems tired or gets impatient when she is sick. Betsy Jane’s family is well. When I get your letters I expect to hear that you have changed your name or is about to do so. You must tell me when you are going to. Give my love to Emira, George and all the rest of my cousins. I expect Jasper has forgotten me almost. He used to be one of my favorite cousins. I was so glad when he would come out to Benton to visit us when I was little. I wish he would come to see me now, or any of the rest of you. How nice it would be to see your Dear self. I do not suppose we would know each other. it has ben a long long time since we met. Well it is almost uspper time and I must stop writing for the present. I will write oftener and to Emira too. Kiss her babys for me. You must write soon. I wrote to you about Six weeks ago.
                                                                                                Goodbye Dear Cousin
                                                                                              Harriet O. Russell
